The four states a Domain can be in

| Locked | No evidence yet. |
| Learning | You have started or finished a Course that teaches this Domain. |
| Practiced | You passed a Practice Task mapped to this Domain. |
| Verified | A reviewer read your Formal Project and awarded a qualifying score on this Domain. |
Each Career Path declares which Domains its own credential requires, and how strong the evidence must be. On the UX/UI Professional path, all eight must reach Verified. Other paths declare their own thresholds, and a Domain a path does not declare is not required for that path at all.
