A foundations course in digital accessibility: the POUR principles and WCAG conformance levels, designing for vision, motor, hearing, and cognitive differences, the concrete WCAG-in-practice techniques every product needs, and the systematic practice of planning, running, documenting, and sustaining an accessibility evaluation.

By the end of this course you can design with accessibility in mind from the start, apply the concrete WCAG techniques that resolve the most common real-world barriers, and run a complete accessibility audit from scoping through prioritized, actionable findings that a team can actually act on.

01How to explain the POUR principles and WCAG conformance levels, and why accessibility is a core design requirement
02How to design for vision, motor, hearing, and cognitive differences, including situational and temporary disability
03How to write correct alt text, check contrast, ensure full keyboard access, and build accessible forms
04How to plan and run a systematic accessibility audit combining automated and manual methods
05How to write actionable findings, prioritize remediation, and sustain accessibility as an ongoing process
