Design Thinking and the Double Diamond in Practice

A foundations course in design thinking: how to empathize honestly, define a problem you can actually act on, generate and converge on ideas deliberately using the Double Diamond, and test rough concepts with real people before investing in a finished solution.

12 hours (approximately)3 Levels · 30 Lessons
03

By the end of this course you can run a complete design-thinking cycle on a real problem: empathize honestly, define a testable problem, generate and converge on ideas, develop a concept, and test it with real people while avoiding the most common ways the process gets applied as empty theater.

01How to empathize without leading questions, and synthesize research into real insight
02How to write problem statements, POV statements, and How Might We questions
03The Double Diamond model and how to run divergent and convergent thinking deliberately
04How to prioritize ideas, develop them into testable concepts, and storyboard them
05How to run honest usability tests, learn from disappointing results, and iterate correctly
