What you can turn off
- Promotional messages.
- Motivational and encouragement messages.
- Certificate reminders.
- Course update announcements.
- Maintenance notices.
All five are on by default and each is independent — turning off promotional email does not turn off a certificate reminder, and vice versa.
What stays on regardless
Unsubscribing from an email
Marketing emails carry an unsubscribe link. Following it takes you to a confirmation page, and the change is applied once you confirm there — not merely because the page opened. A confirmation page that has loaded is not itself proof that anything changed; the success page shown after confirming is.
Unsubscribing from marketing email does not close your account, does not cancel a subscription and does not affect your access in any way.
