Reviewing and Verifying AI-Generated Code

Learn to review a change an agent produced by reading the static change artifact alone — the diff and the repository around it — and to reach a defensible accept, reject, or rework decision backed by a written review report another engineer could act on.

By the end of this Course, you can take an unfamiliar AI-generated change, read it methodically against its specification and its repository, classify what you find by severity, and issue an accept, reject, or rework decision in a review report another engineer could act on without re-reading the change.

01Read a unified diff for what it actually claims — files, hunks, and text deltas — and name what the rendering itself has hidden from you
02Read a change in dependency order rather than file order, and reconstruct the intent behind it from evidence instead of from its summary
03Trace a change against its written specification to find unimplemented criteria, unrequested scope, and implementations that contradict the wording
04Read tests inside a change as evidence about its claims — what they assert, what they leave uncovered, and where code and tests share a blind spot
05Read configuration, dependency, and build changes, where a single line can carry more risk than a hundred lines of application code
06Find hidden assumptions, invented APIs and packages, unsafe handling of secrets and untrusted input, duplication, and architecture drift
07Classify every finding by severity and by whether it is a defect or deliberate technical debt with an owner and a repayment condition
08Write a review report that reaches an explicit accept, reject, or rework decision and states plainly what the review did not and could not check

What You'll Gain
  • Turns "the code looks fine" into a written decision you can defend to the person whose change you rejected
  • Teaches review of the static artifact specifically, so you know exactly which claims a diff can and cannot support
  • Separates a finding you proved from a suspicion you are carrying, at every step
  • Uses worked diffs and scenario-based assessments drawn from real change-review decisions
Who Is This Course For?
  • Designers who already direct a coding agent and now have to judge what comes back
  • Design Engineers who must accept or reject changes they did not type themselves
  • Design system contributors reviewing generated changes to shared components and tokens
  • Anyone in the Design Engineer Career Path preparing the review and remediation Formal Project
Course Features
  • 3 progressive Levels and 30 substantive bilingual Lessons
  • Worked, untranslated diffs and code examples throughout
  • 30 Lesson Quizzes with 10 scenario-based questions each
  • 3 Level Exams with 15 transfer questions each
